Program Overview:

The Dentistry program at EMU is designed to train future dentists through a strong academic foundation and practical clinical training. The program is delivered in partnership with the University of Health Sciences (SBU) in Istanbul, giving students access to both local and international learning environments.

Program Structure:

• Years 1–2 (Pre-Clinical Phase):
  Conducted at EMU in Northern Cyprus.
  Focus areas:

  • Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, and Biochemistry

  • Introduction to Oral and Dental Anatomy

  • Basic dental laboratory and preclinical skills

  • Turkish language training for international students

• Years 3–5 (Clinical Phase):
  Conducted at SBU in Istanbul, Turkey.
  Students engage in:

  • Clinical rotations across major dental departments

  • Diagnosis, treatment planning, and real patient care

  • Training in specialties like orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry

Facilities & Labs:

• Fully equipped dental simulation and training labs

• Phantom head labs for pre-clinical practice

• Advanced digital imaging and diagnostic equipment

• Research and study areas, computer labs, and student lounges

Admission Requirements:

• Completion of secondary education with strong results in science subjects

• English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or internal placement test)

• Turkish courses provided to help international students with patient communication in clinical years
